Stress…we all talk about being stressed. What do we really refer to?

We generally use the word “stress” when we feel that everything seems to have become too much – we are overloaded and wonder whether we really can cope with the pressures placed upon us.

Anything that poses a challenge or a threat to our well-being is a stress. Some stresses get you going and they are good for you – without any stress at all many say our lives would be boring and would probably feel pointless. However, when the stresses undermine both our mental and physical health they are bad.

Eat a healthy, balanced diet. Fabulous fiber! Healthy fats! Antioxidants! It’s not complicated – it only takes a change of heart 🙂

Practice above 🙂 !

Living simply has a lot to do with giving yourself permission to say “no”. It means freeing ourselves from commitments and obligations that complicate life or interfere with what we really want to do. Identify one or two things or events that burden you and simply let it go…

By wanting – and sometimes, doing – less, we create more space for the things that really matter.

Fifth “recipe” -Limit children to between one and three extracurricular activities a week, depending on their age. Otherwise, you will exhaust yourself, and your children may grow up addicted to constant stimulation.

Why do some couples seem so head-over-heels? It’s not that their lives are any easier or more perfect than yours – but they do know how to keep the daily grind from eroding their relationship. Get some of what they have by incorporating the following happy-couple strategies into your love life.

Be present.

Train your mind to stay in the moment – focus on the person in front of you, the activity you are doing right now or the feeling you feel. Thinking about your next move, be it planning for tomorrow’s work or planning that dream vacation, has its place and time – make sure your thoughts do not wander aimlessly over the whole spectrum of activities – stay in the moment.

You matter to me..

Fourth “recipe” -Work no more than 30 minutes from home. Preserve your energy and money for more rewarding life experiences.

Don’t make unilateral decisions.

You’re a team in many ways, so act like one. Check in and make decisions together about things large and small. Be willing to compromise.

Help your partner feel more loved and secure in your love so that he or she can open up to you and express feelings and ideas without fear of being attacked or judged. Compliment, praise, give a hug. Small gestures make the grandest statements.

Exercise regularly. Studies show exercise reduces anxiety, releases tension and spurs the brain to pump out endorphins, chemicals that create a sense of well-being. Try for 30 to 60 minutes three times a week!

Show emotions. Talk, laugh, cry, get angry. Let it out!
